This recipe may have you looking forward to the morning. Packed with blueberries, raspberries or blackberries, and chunks of banana, this smoothie helps start the day right. Adapted from Apples to Zucchini by Virginia Schuett and Dorothy Corry.

Ingredients

1 medium banana, peeled and sliced

One 4-ounce container of blueberries (frozen)

One 4-ounce container of raspberries or blackberries (frozen)

1 tbsp sugar

1 cup liquid non-dairy creamer

1 cup very cold water

Mint leaf garnish (optional)
Instructions

Put prepared fruit in plastic freezer bags and freeze until firm, at least several hours.

Remove frozen fruit and place in blender or food processor along with sugar, non-dairy creamer, and water. Process until smooth and creamy.

Serve immediately. Garnish with mint leaf.
